It all began...

in a kitchen in Brixton five years ago. My father had passed away and I had just been released from intensive care in hospital. With nothing to do with my time except surf the web and pester my cake baking grandmother ‘Cake By Candie’ was born.
 
I am entirely self taught. While cake classes ‘sound’ awesome, I doubt I would excel in an atmosphere that reminds me of school, so I continue to learn through trial and error.
 
Having experienced it all from weekend market trading (big up all those in Brixton Village) to school bake sales, when the opportunity to feature CC’s on TV became available, I grabbed an apron and ran with it.
 

Fast forward five years and I’ve had a baby! Now two years old, Esme-Olivia is already showing an interest in the KitchenAid!
